Marvin MInarich and his crew completed a concourse gold quality frame off restoration on this stunning 1972 Pontiac GTO. Marvin Minarich was born in Joliet, IL. and grew up around Pontiacs thanks to his father. Marvin would go with his dad to swap meets looking for Pontiac parts, visiting the local Pontiac dealership, and even going to the drag strip. Marvin then began restoring cars at a young age and restored his first GTO at the age of 16 in his parents garage. Marvin went on to open his own restoration shop in Morris IL. where he completes gold concourse winning restorations. His customer base are car enthusiasts from all over the country that trust him and his team to complete the highest level restorations. Marvin is very well known and respected in the Pontiac world and has served as a judge and guest speaker at Pontiac shows.

Marvin Minarich pulled this car out of a barn 10 years ago and discovered it to be an almost rust free California black plate 1964 Pontiac GTO in Silvermist Gray. Marvin's Motor City was then commissioned, by a great customer of ours, to complete a frame off restoration on this incredible muscle car. Stay tuned until the end to see the original restored 1964 California black plate, with a reproduction license plate frame from the original dealership, and reproduction correct registration stickers. The restoration of this 1964 Pontiac GTO, considered the godfather of the muscle car, underwent a full frame-off restoration and was originally a rust-free California car. It retains its original drivetrain, including the engine and transmission, but a few options were added during the restoration, such as a tri-power system and disc brakes. The car features all new trim and moldings, a vinyl top, and exhaust splitters. The restoration aimed to make the car look stock while adding some extra power. The attention to detail and the use of reproduction parts to maintain the original look of the car are highlighted. The interior, steering wheel, shifter, and other features are discussed, emphasizing the effort to maintain authenticity while also making the car drive-able and enjoyable for the owner.
